Air conditioning unit needs to be clean, the vents were duty. The bed frame were old, after sleeping the next day I had issues with me back. Service was very good. Nice place, needs updating in some areas. Overall a good experience

they clean the room every day. They cleaned the bathroom. It’s great. Staff is nice. Breakfast is good. Would be nice if they mix it up instead of having exactly the same things every day. No gym. Not a lot of seating space in the lobby as you wait for the flight after a checkout.

The hotel is in a good location. 2 minutes walk and there is a place to eat, pharmacy, grocery shop. Breakfast at the hotel is standard (different types of bread/pastries, cheese/sausage, omelet, potatoes, sliced fruits/vegetables). The numbers need to be renewed. Personally, my room was dirty, the furniture was all from the 90s. The sink didn't work at all, the toilet was flushed not even the first time. But there was no desire to clarify the relationship. I arrived in Santiago at 6 a.m., I was already at the hotel at 7 a.m. The hotel is full, there are no available rooms. Check-in only from 3 p.m. A few weeks before arrival, I wrote through messages to the hotel - no answers.

We last stayed at the Bonaparte in 2010. The years have not been kind to this once elegant property. It is indeed "tired", as others have remarked. The kind staff cannot make up for rooms that show signs of cosmetic rehabilitation years past, now in desperate need of further attention. The bedding is old, the furnishings in the rooms basic. The Providencia neighborhood is quiet and safe, but it is a ways from the central city. Santiago traffic is fierce. If you are in the city as a tourist, you might want to consider lodging closer in to the main sights to save time and money on Ubers. And a word of caution, almost everything is closed on Mondays - restaurants, all museums, and many shops. Plan your stay accordingly.
